Mindspace Receives Coveted IABC Gold Quill Award
June 26, 2007 – Tempe, AZ
Advertising and public relations firm Mindspace proudly announces its international accomplishment of receiving the prestigious, world-renowned 2007 Gold Quill Award for Excellence in Communication, presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in New Orleans, LA.
Mindspace's campaign was selected from 1,170 international entries from 21 countries. As the only Arizona-based company to receive this international recognition for 2007, Mindspace was in the company of world-renowned businesses including Suncor Energy, Coca-Cola, Motorola, and Pfizer, to name a few.
"We are extremely honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award," said Brent Shetler, principal and creative director of Mindspace. "To be recognized among this talented pool of our peers is a great accomplishment not only for our company, but more importantly, for our client."
Mindspace received the award on Monday, June 25th at the Gold Quill Awards Gala at the IABC's International Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The five-year-old company captured the Award of Merit in the Marketing Communications category for the launch of Ethisphere Magazine, a national magazine circulated to 65,000 C-level executives, dedicated to illuminating the important correlation between ethics and profit. Mindspace was charged with the strategy, design, production and promotion of the publication, which has now been deemed by Forbes.com as "the best magazine of its genre".
In fall of 2006, the firm expanded its advertising and interactive services to include public relations, enabling clients to benefit from a fully integrated marketing approach to their business. By making all of the critical elements of the marketing mix available to clients, Mindspace is able to take a holistic marketing approach to solving complex business challenges. "This award is of particular note for the agency, because it represents the combined efforts of our whole organization," said Mark Zembal, Mindspace strategic director. "Clients are demanding an integrated marketing approach to their business to create marketing multipliers, and this award shows that we are delivering on that promise with far reaching, measurable results."
IABC's Gold Quill Awards program has been the hallmark of excellence in business communication for more than 35 years. The winners represent the best in organizational communication and their work plans serve as best practices for professional communicators across communication disciplines.
